About Friends of the White Sulphur  Springs National Fish Hatchery

The Friends of the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery is a support group for the hatchery.  Their mission is:  to increase public awareness and appreciation of the Hatchery; promote understanding, appreciation, and conservation of freshwater resources; and to promote public use and enjoyment of the Hatchery.

One of the ways the Friends work to achieve these goals is by hosting the annual Freshwater Folk Festival. This day of fun and educational adventure would not be possible without their hard work, as well as that of the hatchery staff and other volunteers.

If the mission of the Friends of the WSSNFH is important to you, considering becoming a member or sponsoring their next event.

To volunteer to work the day of the festival, or to find out how you can join the Friends of the WSSNFH, contact Matthew Patterson at 304-536-1361.  You may also email the Friends at  friends@wsshatcheryfriends.org.  To be a sponsor, visit our sponsor page for more information.
